It’s been such a pleasure to work with Melanie! She has been such a good resource for me as a new Mom. Whether its breastfeeding, sleep issues or self care, she is there to help problem solve and offer what she knows. I also really appreciate that she is open to discussing and acknowledging postpartum depression. It’s nice to meet a professional who is so open about this topic. Melanie has a kind, calm presence about her that is a balm to the discordant feeling that comes with having a new baby.

I strongly recommend Melanie to anyone who has breastfeeding questions or concerns. She was extremely helpful in providing information about increasing my supply and re-establishing nursing when I was at the end of my rope after my daughter’s lip and tongue tie revisions. Other lactation consultants had suggested I give up, but Melanie, with her knowledge, expertise, and kindness encouraged me to keep trying. I am so grateful to her for understanding how important it was to me to continue being able to breastfeed my daughter, and for providing me with resources and information that allowed for this to happen.

If you’re looking for an educated IBCLC with tongue and lip tie knowledge, look no further than Melanie! I had the pleasure of booking a skype/FaceTime appointment earlier this week. She went through an in depth assessment to help us get to the root cause of some of our issues and provided us detailed recommendations. She was kind, knowledgeable, personable and has great suggestions. Being able to ‘see’ her via skype and/or FaceTime was wonderful for me. We live in a rural town and finding access to an IBCLC, let alone one with tie knowledge, is difficult. I’m very thankful for our appointment and look forward to continuing our breastfeeding journey. Definitely recommend!

Melanie is a Godsend! I came in with concerns with my newborn’s feeding. Melanie was very easy to communicate with. We became overly concerned with my newborn when she wouldn’t wake. Melanie accompanied me and 3 of my children to the ER and stayed with us the majority of the evening making sure we were ok. We kept in contact, and she helped us through a tongue revision, and post care. She is so sweet, and knowledgeable and I will recommend her to anyone needing any kind of nursing advice.

Our sweet boy had to spend 5 days in the NICU and had a severe lip and tongue tie making nursing incredibly challenging. Melanie was amazing at discovering concerns with our baby through an oral assessment and, referred us to specialists to get the ties revised, assisting with getting him to nurse, and getting mom and baby well on their way! Her confidence and calmness was such an asset. She was truly a blessing when we needed it the most. Could not recommend her highly enough!

Having my daughter was a very big change for me and I worried constantly about breastfeeding because I had to figure out unique positioning for us. Melanie was so very patient with me. She deserves some type of award for how patient she was! She is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her clients. She wants you to succeed and feel confident, not only with breastfeeding, but with all things related to being a mom. I definitely recommend her!

Baby Bonds was a lifesaver! I was a complete mess and in a lot of pain one Friday night when my daughter was 2 weeks old. Melanie came across the city that very night, with no notice, to help us figure out what the problem was. She identified a possible tongue tie (that a previous lactation consultant had missed), referred us to Dr. Ghaheri, and worked gently with us to improve the latch. Afterwards, she was proactive about checking in to make sure we were ok and to answer questions. She counseled us on a variety of breastfeeding and infant care issues and all the while she never ceased to be patient with me. After several more visits and continued support over the following weeks we have reached a wonderful place. I love breastfeeding my baby- something I could hardly fathom not long ago. Melanie was very professional, thorough and always on time. I will definitely be recommending her to anyone who is struggling to breastfeed.

Melanie was such a great help with my newborn twins. I was fortunate to have her as a postpartum doula. She has such a calm, nurturing presence and was so helpful to me on my new journey in motherhood. She openly shared things that worked with her children when they were babies and always presented all child rearing ideas as options. She also stressed the importance that I really needed to take care of myself in the midst of all the craziness of having newborn twins. I will always be eternally grateful to her for those early months with my babies. She was there with tips and tricks for caring for newborns, and she was also the quiet presence that just took care of my babies when I just needed some rest.

Melanie was really incredible as a resource to me with my 2-months premature infant. She is definitely the kind of doula or lactation consultant you want there when you are struggling through those first days (& months) of mommyhood. I can’t thank her enough for all her help and advice on breastfeeding, infant sleep, self-care, stress relief, concerns about vaccination–related issues, encouragement to trust your own mother instinct, etc. I can’t say enough good things about Melanie!

Melanie was wonderful to work with! She had answers and insight I was unable to find other places. I’m grateful for her experience. It made a huge difference. I also appreciated she was willing to come to us. It took the stress out of having to pack all the little ones up, find parking etc. I would definitely recommend Melanie to anyone looking for lactation help.

I was lucky enough to have Melanie’s services for the first few months after bringing my newborn twins home from the hospital. While recovering from my c-section and throughout all of her time with us, she immediately jumped in to help care for any and all household chores, my babies, and me. She fit in seamlessly and was so easy to be around. Melanie really helped me to get my bearings as both a single and first time mother in a way that was both extremely supportive, full of practical knowledge, and a lot of patience. From one twin mom to another, I feel she helped soothe my anxieties and build my self confidence.

I am so happy we have been able to work with Melanie with my new baby. Melanie was the first lactation consultant I’ve worked with who not only listened and truly heard my concerns, but provided endless support to help my breastfeeding relationship with my baby be successful and enjoyable. I have told all of my friends to call her before anyone else with any breastfeeding concerns because she truly cares for her clients and babies.

I consider breastfeeding one of the biggest challenges I have had to face in my entire life as a new mom. I started to see a lactation consultant from the beginning who was helpful, but it was really Melanie who could finally figure out what the problem was. Melanie is so knowledgeable and kind. She offered to visit us in the comfort of our house. She did an oral assessment and weighed her before and after feeding. She also watched me nursing her and let me know what she thought the problem was. She helped me to learn about different positions of breastfeeding and supported us every step of the way. If it wasn’t for her, being a working mom, I wouldn’t be still nursing my five-month-old daughter.
